2016 UPCA Slow Smoke Contest Results
The 2016 SPC Slow smoke was held on November 9th at Smokey Joe's Cigar Lounge in Fife. There were 15 entrants, but two were unable to compete. All were provided with a Gigi briar pipe, tamper, 3 grams of SPC's Potlatch tobacco, and two matches. They had five minutes to pack their pipes and one minute to light them. The last one out was the winner.
Cindy Schell was our "First Out" with a time of 6 minutes and 16 seconds. She received a box of 1,000 matches for her efforts. Keep practicing Cindi.
Our winner was Rick Willoughby with a time of 1:03:30. His efforts earned him his name engraved on the SPC Trophy, another trophy for the UPCA Western Regional Championship, his choice of prizes, and $250 for airfare to the UPCA National Event in Chicago next May.
